Introducing ChecklistBank: An index and repository for taxonomic data

As a joint development between Catalogue of Life (COL) and the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF), ChecklistBank supports publication curation checklists provides platform for their consistent discovery, use citation. GBIF has some time maintained as its repository community to share species checklist data drive searches on GBIF. The collaboration built an earlierversion, add functions needed assemble COL Checklist (Bánki et al. 2022) make it independent system. Its model is around Data Package (ColDP) format (Döring Ower 2019), preferred standard sharing with ChecklistBank. Since December 2020, actively being used host all sources produce integrated Checklist. We will introduce fundamental ideas ChecklistBank, tools currently offered users explore mapping taxon concepts.
